In addition to the basic fee, a fee of EUR 1,67 m3 + EUR 0,43 (VAT 25,5%) = EUR 2,10/m3 will be charged for temporary water, measured with a temporary water meter or according to the estimated use.
If a fire hydrant meter has been damaged during use, the repair costs of the meter and the final readings of the meter plus 100 m3 as a usage fee will be invoiced.
Connection fee
A connection fee will be charged when a new building is connected to the water supply and/or sewer network. The amount of the fee is dependent on the type of the property and permitted building volume. The connection fee is charged according to the currently valid price list at the time of conclusion of the water agreement. Value added tax will be added to the price (25,5 %).
For example, for a detached house under 250 m², the connection fee for water is €2,700.00 (VAT 0%) = €3,388.50
(including 25.5% VAT), and for wastewater €2,700.00 (VAT 0%) = €3,388.50 (including 25.5% VAT), making a total of €5,400.00 (VAT 0%) = €6,777.00 (including 25.5% VAT).There is a calculator for calculating the average connection fee available on the Tampere Water website. Calculators are currently only available in Finnish.
In addition to the connection fee, the property owner is required to cover the cost of building the service pipes.
The prices for construction of the service pipes

If service lines have not been installed up to the water meter during new construction, the property owner may have them installed by Tampere Water based on a quotation or arrange for another contractor to carry out the work.
Service lines must be constructed in accordance with a written and approved quotation.
Excavation work for water and sewer lines is performed by the builder’s contractor.
Connection work to the main network and to the property’s internal water supply network is always carried out by Tampere Water as a chargeable service.

The construction price of the sprinkler pipe includes: a T-branch, 3 valves, valve covers, 30 meters of water pipe, connection fittings, and installation work (8–12 hours).

A verification fee is charged for a check requested by the customer if the meter is found to be accurate. The fee includes material costs according to the meter size.

An additional visit refers to a charge, for example, if an agreed connection work is canceled due to an excavation that does not comply with instructions.
For work performed outside normal working hours, a multiplier of 1,75 is applied between 16:00 and 22:00, and a multiplier of 2 is applied between 22:00 and 07:00, as well as on weekends and public holidays.
